Project 1: Asthma Prediction
This project is to develop webtools to predict asthma risk levels in young adults, following the methods developed by Farhan et al. (2023) that utilize clinical assessments. Asthma risk estimation and AI-generated suggestions based on the estimated risk are provided. The article is under consideration for publication.
Project 2: Predictive Markers for Response to Mepolizumab in Severe Asthma Patients
Biologic treatments have strong potential to control severe asthma patients’ symptoms, but there is a lack of efficient prediction markers to predict whether a patient is responsive or not to a specific biologic therapy. The goal of this project is to identify the most effective and concise epigenetic marker to predict treatment responses. Data in the WATCH (Wessex AsThma CoHort of difficult asthma) cohort study are utilized in this investigation to identify such markers.
